Re: What Are The Next Gigs You Are Attending ?

My own.  We have a group that is playing some Christmas songs this Thursday (outside cold.)  and at the end of the month our full band will be playing a local elks club around New Years.  I can't afford to go to real gigs by real bands anymore.  The last real band I saw was last year this time of year we went to Christmas Jam in Ashville which was awesome!

Re: What Are The Next Gigs You Are Attending ?

I'll be driving back to Motown this afternoon on a repair job. If I'm still there on Thursday evening and there are tix to be had I'll be seeing JST for the first time. And I have my telecaster in the truck Jo! cool

2010 looks like a great year already for gigs.
Ana Popovic is here in April/May
Philip Sayce in May
Matt Andersen i believe in April/May
Then of course we will have the festival gatherings  soon after , I cannot wait
My friends Voodoo Six will be on tour in Feb/March

Re: What Are The Next Gigs You Are Attending ?

For this year, it´s only Devon Allman left. I saw him in August in California and liked him very much - so I´m excited to see him again next thursday near Stuttgart.

On the screen for 2010 up to now:

20.2. Miller Anderson
3.3. Dana Fuchs
12.3. Rob Tognoni
19.3. Henrik Freischlader
24.3. The Holmes Brothers
25.4. Ana Popovic and Matt Schofield
28.4. Patricia Vonne and Del Castillo
29.4. Otis Taylor
30.4. Brian Auger and Rudy Rotta
1.5. Andy Fairweather Low
1.10. Eric Bibb

And I´m sure that Mr. Bonamassa finds again his way to Germany next spring.

Re: What Are The Next Gigs You Are Attending ?

The only definite one at the moment is a certain JOE BONAMASSA, Hammersmith, 28th May.
NOT TOO BAD.

I'm playing my own gig today. The Headteacher asked if I would be Santa Claus at the school bazaar and for whatever reason I said yes. WHY?

Saw the Voodoo 6 reference so I thought I would reply. If I'm right Tony Newton is the bassist Tony who I used to try and kick lumps out of when we both played for Melbourne FC at Hainault. He and his oppo up front 'lil Stevie 'Arris could be a real handful. Had to leave a foot in more than once to slow 'em down.

If the band get to Hamburg I'll try to get to see them and make things right at the bar!

I've just seen he's doing a double-header with Oli Brown at the 100 Club on 28th Feb. See you there? smile

So far, I've got planned :

16th Dec - Oli, Joanne, Virgil - Jazz Cafe - sadly this is only a maybe at the moment

18th Dec - Them Crooked Vultures, Hammersmith (taking the teenagers)

23rd Dec - Matt Schofield, Charlotte St Blues

17th-20th Feb - one of these dates for Billy Cobham @ Ronnie Scott's

28th Feb - Oli Brown/Billy Walton - 100 Club

21st May - Oli, Joanne, Virgil - Sutton

28th May - you know who at Hammersmith Apollo

Great big gaps for March and April but I'm sure something will come up,
