Re: Govt Mule Halloween gig

To save myself some typing, I'm just going to copy & paste the review I wrote for Live Nation:

I'm not a huge Stones fan, but Mule's covers are always so great, I was excited to see what they'd do with the Stones. I'd say they picked good songs (there were 2 I didn't know), but much of the time their performance, while not bad, seemed kinda "uninspired", which is unusual for Mule. Also I wasn't familiar with hardly any of their originals in the 2nd set, but that's because I'm not real familiar with their studio albums including the new release. I enjoyed the songs, but was expecting at least a few of the Mule classic standbys. Oh well, still a good show, and a good time. This was my 4th Mule show, and my favorite is still my 1st (at The Forum in Harrisburg PA last year), but I'll go see Mule any chance I get.

The rest of the reviews there of that night are pretty glowing though:

Re: Govt Mule Halloween gig

My taper friend Keith was not at this Mule show, but his main "partner in crime" Nicky had loaned his recording equipment out to another taper friend for that show.  Here's the link, and I'll go ahead and post the setlist for everyone too...

^ I've listened to this whole recording and it sounds pretty good, but Keith says there's a better one out there... not sure which one, but if I can get a link, I'll post it.  I know at least 4 different recordings have surfaced so far, most claiming to to be "the one" if you read the comments.  I'm actually surprised there's not more out there yet, as there were LOTS of mic stands there, some with multiple sets of mics.
