Topic: Not been online for a while. gear changes

hey all,

not been on here in a long time. mainly the blonde side of me that keeps forgetting to check-in and see what's happening.

i'm still a newbie, so people might not remember what gear i was using. i've had a change around recently, selling a lot of the chaff in my gear room and settling on what i really use/want.

current i've stripped down to just 3 guitars, which are a Fender Classic Player 60's Strat, a Fender Baja Tele and a Fender 65 Reissue Mustang.
The mustang is my semi main guitar, as i've been struggling with tendinitis recently and this has been a lot easier to play. i've also had to step down from 11's to 10's to help matters. guitar playing didn't cause my tendinitis, bad computer keyboard posture was the culprit. guitar playing didn't help it heal though.

Amp wise, i'm still using a Fender Blues Deluxe. i only use the clean channel, using pedals to get my higher gain sounds.

Pedals have changed too. i've gone from using blues drivers, TS9's and DD-3's to using either a Trex Mudhoney or a Timmy clone and a Vox Time Machine delay. i work my volume and tone pots a lot these days, tending to set my rhythm sounds around 7-8 on the guitar and lead on 10.

the Time Machine is a great pedal, if you can live with the satch connections. nothing wrong with satch, just not my preference. the choice of vintage and modern delay sounds is really nice, i use the lo-fi vintage mode for nice warm analogue style dave gilmour stuff. the tap tempo is a useful function, though i tend to stick to 1 or 2 delay times when i  play.

missed looking at the board and hope to not leave it so long next time;)

I think my next purchase just might be a Timmy pedal....or a Tone Freak OD. hmm

i've really fell for the timmy sound at the moment. cuts through really well and gives the strat more bottom end. sustains really well.
