Topic: Jack Bruce and Robin Trower DVD

So far I am three quarters through this dvd.

Although this is impressive, it seems to struggle to really get off the ground.
I have a feeling Robin is doing this as a favor to an old friend. Jack Bruce isn't in good shape and he really has to push himself to sing and get his bass lines heard. Robin is in good shape. If you come expecting to hear classics like Day of The Eagle and Bridge of Sighs, forget it. He helps Bruce on Cream Classics and wisely does not follow Claptons lines. He just plays like Robin Trower.

Jack Bruce says after Sunshine Of Your Love, now we are really getting somewhere.

Unfortunately I dont think those guys get to where they are going.

mmmmm - I've not seen the dvd, but maybe you also have to take into account that Bruce is now 66 years old and I think Trower is 62.......amazing that these guys are still playing after long careers in a business which often takes its toll on the body...............they still seem to get good crowds, so I guess old fans still want to support them, perhaps despite their shortcomings.........
