I hired a limo for my daughter's junior prom to hold 16 people who all chipped in and IT WAS A DISASTER, THE DRIVER GOT LOST...FOR HOURS!!!

THE LIMO DRIVER HAD NO SENSE OF DIRECTION AND GOT LOST GOING TO THE PROM AND RETURNING FROM THE PROM. 

It happened back in May and I'm still ticked & shocked about it.  The owner wouldn't even return my phone calls, never gave us a dime back (it was paid in full) had the limo driver call me twice to apologize and had him tell me he wasn't being paid and had 5 kids to feed, so I'd forgive him. Of course, I forgave him, BUT I blame the owner for hiring him.

The limo drivers GPS system was broke, the air conditioner was broke, they were no drinks, his cell phone was dead and even after all the students were late getting there and missed their photos and meet and greet, he was late picking them back up for the return ride.  I was assured he knew his way back to Jersey. (the prom was in Philly)  With every student having a cell phone and calling their parents when they realized they were driving over an hour in the wrong direction home...my daughter and her girlfriend actually sat on the floor by the front in their prom gowns trying to help direct this guy.  My daughter's friend's dad  actually was on her cell phone with the driver for 45 minutes, reading every highway sign and that's how they finally got home.

In the meantime, parents were calling me thinking the kids were being kidnapped or the driver was high as a kite...one set of parents got out on the highway looking for them.   It was frightening, I was really scared thinking the worse. 

And to think my hubby tipped the guy extra on my driveway before we realized the air was broke and he didn't have any water...and the kids found an open beer bottle and porn on board.  What a total nightmare to say the least!!!

So, any soccer fans or visitors to Philadelphia out there that ever venture towards Philly where the new soccer stadium will be in Chester, Pennsylvania, don't every hire Luxury Limo of Chester, PA.  I will bad mouth this company until the day I die! hmm

And my theme song continues...for some reason this song is branded in my DNA...Can't Find My Way Home!!!

P.S. Thanks a lot Joe for getting my morning started all aggrevated.  big_smile  I usually practice letting things go... wink

Hey, that's not funny BJJ! wink I'm sure you've seen the little emblem on your lawn mower that shows the blade hitting your fingers and parts of them coming off, right? Well, guess who stupidly got their fingers to close to the blade on high power and had to go to the hospital to repair the damage? yikes Yep, it was I. My friends darn near had to start calling me "Stubby" after that trick, but it's all mended and fine now. I guess they put labels on there for a reason. Yeah, I know, DUH??

I heard this years ago. Supposedly some fellow, I believe it was in California, caused a terrible accident while driving his car. Apparently, he was way over the legal limit for alcohol consuption and was arrested for drunk driving. The guy went to his attorney and they ended up suing the car maker because in the owner's manual it did not state that you should not "drink and drive" and won in court! How true this is I'm not sure, but it's why in most manuals today they talk about drinking and driving.

It also, brings to mind the story of the older woman who spilled McDonalds coffee on herself and got burned. She sued and won because there was no "Contents are Hot" label on the cup which is now why there is one.

Hey, maybe they put those labels on things for a reason? wink

Saw one the other day - I'm in the left had turn lane - huge sign pointing left for the road I want - below that a smaller sign that says "no left turn"  roll 

There is also a piece of road that is Rte 128 South and Route 93 North all at the same time - try giving someone directions using that!

Ep.3 of the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm....brilliant.

First he couldn't get the sat nav out the plastic packaging, then at the end he goes to buy a knife - ends up being in the same sealed plastic! lol

In the past, I bought a knife that in order to open the hard plastic packaging you needed a knife. Cut myself opening it up too. sad big_smile hmm
