think he must have been around in the 60's when Dylan was first playing, - apparently too much wacky-backy is not so good for you.
Welcome liamsutton6, - not sure but the sound of Dylan playing "Rockin around the Christmas tree" is something to look forward to.

That's not wacky backy, that's just the right turn was the wrong turn at Albuquerque! Ian, funny you should mention that song. I have been doing an impersonation of Bob Dylan singing it for some years and I can still crack myself up doing it

HA!
I'm interested to see how this is going to sound. Dylan's voice sound like a vocal kazoo.
I laugh at his vocal phrasing, but he pulls it off.
I really can't wait to see what Rolling Stone is going to do about this. They have their noses so far up Dylan's butt... they worship him. I imagine seeing Bob Dylan on December's cover with a Santa Hat on and the usual Dylan scowl.
I've been a Dylan freak for about 45 years but all I can say is I hope this isn't true. Lately all Bob does is less than desirable and yet he now gets all kinds of awards and attention. Give me the " old" Bob when the music was timeless and He couldn't buy a grammy.

Even if he would do an Easter album, he would do it certainly with style. (But I don´t believe this story really.)

I heard this news (Dylan doing a Christmas album) on Sirius radio today, so its looking like its goin' to happen.
I just played Joe's Merry Christmas Baby the other day when I viewed the new t-shirt on the JB store, what a great tune!!! A few fans mentioned some negative vibes about Joe doing a Christmas song back then...Dylan will keep it interesting...I can just hear him singing frosty the snow man, I'm sure Bob will make it Merry... (A little bit of snow sounds good right now, I detest the humid part of HOT.)
NPB-I know exactly what you mean about Dylan being held up on a pedestal, not just RS...many think the man walks on water. Its hard to measure how many people Dylan influenced. One of the last times Dylan was in Philly I saw him, I will never forget listening to DJ David Dye, he had the most incredible adoration for Dylan. I'm a Dylan fan myself, his success is based on his incredible songwriting and the uniqueness of his voice, he truly is hugely talented...But, sometimes love is blind or should I substitute the word deaf? A Dylan show is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get, sometimes Bob really mumbles! Anyway, Dylan is a musical icon. Its hard to believe people booed him when he first graced the stage with an electric guitar and not his acoustic!
P.S. I still think the funniest thing Dylan has ever done was that Victoria Secret's advertisement shot in Venice with his extra gruffy vocals and all the beautiful angels prancing around in their skimpy under garments... More power to him...

This explains Dylan releasing a Christmas album...proceeds will go to a good cause, feeding the hungry.
