Topic: Hello from Maryland!

Hi everybody, my name is Andy Poxon. I'm a 15 year old blues guitarist and big Joe Bonamassa fan(obviously). I've read stuff on this forum for a while but never got around to joining, but I finally did. I play in a band (the andy poxon band) and we play around MD, VA, and D.C. I look forward to getting to talk to all of you and getting to be apart of such a great forum.

Re: Hello from Maryland!

Glad that you found your way here! There are several young guitar players active on the forum. Hope to see you at Hot August Blues Festival in Cockeysville on 8/15. There will be a bunch of us there - check the thread under "General": http://www.jbonamassa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9463

Re: Hello from Maryland!

Hey Andy, sorry that there's only been one reply till now, we're usually friendlier than that - so here's a belated welcome from me and I echo RICjunkie's hope that you'll be at HAB, where there will be a major gathering of the Bonaclans from far and wide. big_smile

My very good friend from Maryland, cathysiler, would have welcomed you immediately if only she had been able to get here and post, but she's got unresolved computer issues, so here's another welcome on her behalf too.

Hi Andy and a big welcome to the well represented group of Maryland fans here in Joe World. I'm always thrilled to hear about young players with great taste. Good on you, as they say. Please join us at the HAB. We'll be easy to find!   Cathy

Hi Andy,

I've got shirts older than you bud, but they don't have such good taste in guitar players.

You do indeed play!!! I loved you at the CBF this weekend!! Great red afro!!! I got such a kick out of watching you smile whenever people cheered. The, when Daryl put you on his shoulders and walked around the festival while you played, I knew you felt the love. We are very supportive of young'ins here. Next time don't be afraid to let us know when you're playing or post any youtube clips.  You've picked a good role model!!!  Cathy
