Topic: Gigantes vs. Cerveceros

I just tuned in the Giants/Brewers game in Milwaukee this evening and thought it was cool that the Brewers were honoring Hispanic players tonight and asked the Giants to break out their Gigantes jerseys too. The Giants have worn these jerseys for 5 years or more now when they play at home on Cinco De Mayo and on Mexican heritage night. Heritage nights @ AT&T Park started about 5 years ago aimed at honoring the fans and with SF being an international melting pot the list has grown to include: Indian(native american), Mexican, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Latino, Italian, Jewish, African American, Pacific Islander, and 2 Filipino and last, but not least 2 Irish nights complete with many additional Guinness stands all over the ballpark. Each night includes a special hat, t-shirt, scarf, or blanket giveaway. How politically correct is that? I'm wondering if any of you other baseball fans have these nights at your home parks?

PS for the Spanish speaking impaired:    Gigantes=Giants
