I paid 3k from Musician's Friend

#275 JB LP

Re: Quick question

Are they going to continue making the Joe Bonamassa non-relic models or are there limited numbers of them just like the reliced ones?  I need to know because I think that will have to be my next Gibson guitar.  If anyone is willing to let one go reasonably priced let me know!!  cool

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

Just what you need...more gear! tongue $2800 new from thegearpage was an awesome deal that was extremely tempting.  The unreliced were the final 50 of the 300. I have heard rumors on the boards of more to come, but that may be just rumors. It's a good time for deals on gear if you keep you eyes/ears open...

More gear Ken...You better believe it! wink  You don't even know man, I've got it bad.  I have future plans for a Metro build (probably either a JTM45 or I may go nuts and just build a '68 100 watter cool ) , Ceriatone 2555, possibly another 100w OTS non HRM this time with a half power switch...I've been dying to get a Dr. Z Z-28 4x10 combo, the amp that made me fall in love with Z's!  Oh and a couple more Fenders, maybe a couple old non master early Silverface Supers or Princeton Reverbs...  Guitars I have my eyes on a Gibson Lucille, another Les Paul perhaps a Custom or JB sig...maybe a beater model like a Classic idk, a nice Tele (maybe a homemade Gigliotti clone), a resonator acoustic, a decent Martin or Larivee, and I've always wanted an old Clapton sig loaded with the old LC Golds.  A new rosewood EJ would be sweet too.  I really do have a sickness..... roll

Re: Quick question

I thought I heard Joe (himself) state they were going to do another run of 300...little help?

Re: Quick question

I hope they don't do another run honestly. That would, I think, diminish the value of the first 300.

The Inspired by Les Paul was and is limited to 300. You can't say limited edition only 300 made and then make some more.

Re: Quick question

Not to take this off topic but my next purchase of a Gibson will be the Billy Gibbons "Pearly Gates" '59 Les Paul. No release date as yet. But I have my order in.

I'm not sure that I agree with this thinking here...I buy guitars for playing not for collecting but I can understand that we all want our guitars to be as collectable and valuable as possible.  I would think that Joe would want us to buy his guitars to be played, not sit in a guitar case!  I really hope it becomes a standard offered signature series like the Slash, Gary Moore, and Frampton models were.   I guess ideally they could keep the original 300 GT's a limited run for the big time fans and collectors and then offer a larger run of different JB Les Pauls.  I'd like to see them offer a JB model with a vintage sunburst, maybe flames though that would jack the price up, nylon saddles, grovers, top wrapped with 0.11s and the option for a Bigsby.  ARE YOU LISTENING GIBSON!?!

True. You got me on that one! Was he referring to another type signature Les Paul of differing genetic makeup??? I usually have good memory but this could be an imaginary memory taking a dysfunctional wrong turn.

Holy smokes!  Yeah I'm definately heading down that road too but unlike Dave, I won't be a Doctor!  No Doctor's salary for me but I'll try my best to aqcuire some nice stuff over the years to give to my future children and grandchildren.  I'm really gassing over a Gigliotti right now man...ugh why do they have to be so pricey?! tongue

Re: Quick question

The Gigliottis are just superb. I wont miss my GT nevermore.
If I had the money then I would order a second one with f-hole, humbucker in a black/transburst.... tongue
For sweet suffering murphy, go for one. Yes they are pricey but worth every penny.
And don't forget, your money isn't away. Its just somewhere else... cool

Is that an Artist III? I have an incredibly similar one - quilt top amber but with the colour wrap i.e no fake edge binding and mine is chambered too :-) Incredible quality guitar.
