Re: Who are your favorite singers?

Lots of great voices going on here... I'm gonna' second some singular choices

Noah Hunt-excellent choice Deezer, I always compare Noah to that John Kaye Steppenwolf kinda' voice
Anita Baker-incredible voice
Jim Morrison- Hello, I Love You...great ringtone!

And add some females:
Annie Haslam
Bonnie Bramlett
Bonnie Raitt
Diana Ross-1st female performer I got hooked on
Etta James
Joan Armatrading
Phoebe Snow

yeah, Joan Armatrading is cool! though I think that Jim Morrison isn't a really 'good' singer, but got a very peculiar voice - I love it on Don't you love her madly, i ve been humming it all day!

Peace and Love!

Re: Who are your favorite singers?

My number one of everything music has to be "The Voice"  Paul Rodgers.  He brought the soul to rock music.

Others that I can never get enough of are:

Joe Lynn Turner
Steve Perry
David Coverdale
Gregg Allman

Also loved Steve Marriott on Rockin The Fillmore.  Great singer/performer.

Newer singers are Corey Sterling, and Larry Braggs of Tower of Power. An Awesome singer with an Awesome band.  Get ready to Party with TOP.

"Holy Toledo"  -  Bill King   "Just Win Baby" - Al Davis  "The Autumn Wind" - Steve Sabol

Re: Who are your favorite singers?

I neglected to second this choice of a daddy that knows best, in this circumstance anyway!!! Robert Plant is my main man of all main men when it comes to singing! And a scenario of like father like son...I think Devon Allman's voice is awesome!

And Lui I know what you mean about a "good" singer being defined for their peculiar and different voice-I'd put Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Rod Stewart in this category, but not really Jim Morrison..also love Don't You Love Her Madly...

Re: Who are your favorite singers?

Robert Plant is a no-brainer pre- 1973 before his vocal chords were ruined.

Ryan Adams is the most gifted singer-songwriter alive today.  Willie Nelson's new album was written and produced by Ryan.

Caleb Followill of the Kings of Leon has a very unique voice.  Look for their new album to be a big hit.

Definately! Cuts Like a Knife rocked!

Blues ain't nothin' but a good woman gone bad.

Re: Who are your favorite singers?

Ryan Adams is underrated.

He reminds me of a new generation of Tom Petty/Steve Winwood/Paul Simon/George Harrison/Bob Dylan singer/songwriter music.  Not legendary, but stylistically  that is what I hear in his music.

I like:
New York New York
To Be Young
Gonna Make You Love Me More
My Winding Wheel

If you never heard the guy at least check out those songs!

Mark May

Joe Bonamssa

Guy who sings in "Tea for One"

Jimmy D Lane

and  I know its wierd, but I like SRV's voice a lot....especially how it sounds live.  It fits perfectly with his music style
Nobody can clone that.  Its such a powerful, soulful, gritty, manly voice....in my eyes there is nothing wrong with it at all

I woke up this mornin', cant find my shoes.
