Topic: Greetings

Hi all.  I'm not terribly new to the site, but new to posting on the forum.  My name is Dave, I live in Toledo, and I'm a 46-year-old kid trying to learn to play guitar myself.  I discovered Joe on my Sirius radio, and I've been hooked ever since.  I hope to post my two cents worth whenever the spirit moves me.

Welcome to the lurkers recovery program big_smile  I think you're the first person I recall coming to Joe via sirius. It's nice to hear. We'll be gentle.       Cathy

Thanks, Cathy.  Yeah, Joe had his "Cup of Joe" segment on the Sirius blues channel every day at noon, and I really had no idea who he was at first.  Then one day he played Black Night, and I was instantly blown away.  I feel like I've got my own secret music now, because no one I talk to knows about him.  I really hope he comes to my neck of the woods sometime soon.

It's a great feeling to discover Joe's fantastic music and I'm sure you wondered like many of us did, how you had never heard him before you did. ...if you know what I mean.

Thanks again for the welcome, everyone.  I see a lot of people based across the pond.  Is there more Europeans aboard than us Americans, or is it about even?

Then you understand my "pain and sorrow".  I've been at it for a year.  I know a bunch of chords, and the beginnings to a bunch of songs.  I can play the crap out of E, D, and A chords!
