Clearly a good time was had by all.  smile

Re: Dingwalls

We had a blast!!! It's a good thing we had name tags because there were too many Bonabuddies to remember!!! Dingwalls is a very nice venue, user friendly, and with an attentive soundman. I'm certain Aynsley gained some new fans. According to his manager, he will be coming to the States in a limited manner this year with more extensive touring in 2010.
The only bummer was that the tube stopped running 10 minutes before we got there, so Curryman Dave, George and I had our own little adventure. Oh well, always good to have a story!!!      Cathy

Re: Dingwalls

Nice pictures Martin.  What a blast last night was. So cool to meet so many bonabuddies, the music was just the awesome icing on the cake.

And I think everybody had an "adventure" getting home.

Re: Dingwalls

Yeah - thanks to all the Bonabuddies who came along last night - it was a great gig and I hope those of you seeing Aynsley for the first time, thoroughly enjoyed the evening. It was certainly a great warm up for tonights RAH gig......

Martin - that is a disgrace, but a warning to others not to get into illegal unlicenced cabs - there are many of these in London - your best bet is to get a black cab with a meter - if you need to get an unlicenced cab, ask for the price before you accept the ride......

Re: Dingwalls

I was standing about 5 feet from Aynsley for his first two numbers. When I get a chance I'll upload that to youtube and post the link here.  Also have to say that Jon Amor gave a very entertaining performance as well!

Now it's a few days away I'm beginning to think quite fondly of our magical mystery tour back into central London from Camden. But if I had to do it I couldn't think of two nicer people to share the journey with. Cheers Cathy and George.

The evening at Dingwalls was a blast. I came across Eva and Gunther outside the Ice Wharf and that was the first of many meetings that evening (and Monday) where I said hello to people who were then complete strangers just because they were wearing a Joe t-shirt or a forum badge! And what a friendly bunch everyone turned out to be. If I was a little nervous about coming on my own on the way there I felt I was in the company of long lost friends by the end of the evening.

Jon Amor writes well crafted and often funny lyrics. He's not a bad guitar player either. Aynsley Lister is a real rocker. He had everyone jumping around and must have made a few converts that night. Nice bloke too, I had a chat with him afterwards with Ges.

Great pics Martin. Martin and I enjoyed one or two beers together over the course of the evening and a great time was had by all.

David
