I like Pearl Jam. I took my son Colin to see them in New Mexico. About a 500 mile trip. I always like the album Ten. The highlights of the show were for me the Drummer. Don't know who he was but he was smokin and of course Eddie. He his a front man in the vein of Morrison Bono and Jagger. Great show.

I've been a big Pearl Jam fan for years, Verses and Ten being their stand out albums, I think(Mirrorball is great too, but that are more a backing band to Neil Young there really). I worry they've lost their "edge" now though, their last cd was a partial return to form, but I think the proper power and excitment they used to create might have gone a bit (part and parcel of playing such large venues, and for so long I imagine).
Saying that, I still think they all have amazing talent so should actually see them before saying this, as judging people off of shoddy youtube clips seems a tad daft!

Yeh, their new album wasn't as good as the others, I agree that Ten and Versus are the 'stand out' albums
I think seeing them live would be brilliant, I wanted to see them at Reading when they played at the festival a few years ago, but didn't get a ticket in time.
Where they good live in New Mexico??
Tickets are on sale for the UK on Friday, i'll be up early to buy a couple i think!!

Love Pearl Jam. I have seen them a couple of times here in Missoula. The bass player is from Montana.

I like them, always did. I also like now that some hype has washed away.
Haters call them "Pearl SPAM" because they are one of those band almost constantly on the radio.

Pearl Spam?? I've never heard that one before!! Mind you, I don't know anyone that hates them (most of my friends haven't even really of heard of PJ 
)
I don't hear them much on the radio in England, and Planet Rock radio only plays a couple of their songs (mostly Alive and Even Flow). Would love to hear them on the radio a bit more!!
