Below are 4 links to slide shows of Joe at the St David's Hall, Cardiff on Wednesday 29th April 2009.
I hope others like them and opinions are actively invited.
For those of you interested in the process of concert photography:
I use a Fuji 9500 compact "SLR" set to ISO 400 shutter priority 60th sec. and then software boost and crop the results as necessary.
I also use as a back up a Panasonic TZ3 set on theatre ISO 1250 shutter varying from 1/8th to roughly 1/100th.
The lighting at Cardiff was not the best and very low indeed off Joe himself - despite the fact that the Hall has a very large rig it could have made use of - which made focusing difficult, but I still managed to get a fair few correctly exposed and sharp. In such low light conditions it is easier to use the TZ3 but its quality is much reduced as can be seen in the later photos that are bright and sharp but lack detail with significant "noise".
Photos in the slide shows are 30% of original sto make them easier to upload and inprove download speed.

I had great fun taking these pictures - both during the first three numbers down the front and then on the balcony for the rest of the performance.
I also took several video clips that I will post on youtube in due course.
My thanks go out to both Mellisa and Rachel of J & R Adventures who got me the photo pass on the night. (Rachael the DVD of high res photos is in the post to you).
My thanks also go out to the staff at St Davids Hall. They were all very helpful - in particular the Manager Gareth.
Now I am really looking forward to listening and actually watching Joe at the RAH. No cameras that day - just there to enjoy the experience.
