Well where do i start...................
This was in fact my 3rd time seeing the great man play and i can only say WOW....
While being in Glasgow shopping we decided to go into the local guitar store and just at the checkout who would be standing but Mr Bonamassa himself. To say i was ecstatic is an understatement. I walked in the door and said 'Mr Bonamassa' and he turned to me rather bemused and said 'yeah' in his californian accent. I asked him if i could give him a hug and again he looked at me and said 'yeah ok'. He is such a gentleman very quiet and reserved, not what i expected to be honest but i was honoured to meet him.
My fiance got the camera out and we asked if Joe would allow us to take a few pictures which he did graciously and he also autographed our tickets and did a personalised autograph for me and my fiance (which i will treasure) after making a few purchases of some pedals..........my fiance commented that Joe is such a gear head.
So onto the gig well there i was with my fiance and some friends right down the front in the centre where i was just below him and it was great. His music blows me away and just seeing him and his band having a blast at the gig was superb.
There were a few numbers that i didnt recognise but i enjoyed myself immensely. I cant wait to go to the gig in Edinburgh on the 5th of December......my ticket actually arrived in the post yesterday which was ironic.
To see him play a gibson flying V amused me as it's not the kind of guitar you would associate with Joe.
Here is a pic of me in the guitar store with Joe.
