Topic: Blues Britannia - BBC TV Friday, 1st May

Next Friday a 3 part mini-series starts on the digital channel, BBC4 explaining how white British musicians took American blues music and made it their own. It looks to be a fascinating series and a must watch for everyone here.

The first episode is followed by a collection of performances from various BBC shows that include BB King and Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton and John Lee Hooker, as well as less-familiar material from the likes of Delaney and Bonnie, Freddie King and Long John Baldry.

Shame Joe is playing in Holland on Friday, these two programmes would be right up his street. wink

Thanks Phil
Sounds like a fantastic selection!!! Shame it is the weekend so many of us are away from home. Perhaps there is a nice kind forum member out there willing to record it all for us. big_smile

I wonder if Joe is on the Later show...
