Iowa Jazz Championships

I had the great pleasure of ushering for the Iowa Jazz Championships last night.  WoW, are there some very talented highschool musicians!!  From the tiniest towns come the most awesome sounding bands.  I don't know how many of you were ever in jazz band, but I know it was one of my favorite activities in highschool & college.  I played the bass guitar & upright bass.  Anyone else in jazz band?   I got a real kick out of one of the directors, he looked exactly like a "long-haired Joe" from a side profile.........I must have it bad
