Topic: rare guitar coming up for sale very soon....
Hi guys..
Odd post this..but I have decided to have to sell one of my prized guitars..not everyones tastes...but people in the know love them... its a 1979 Washburn Eagle..in the very rare white finish and extremely good condition for the year. It will be on ebay shortly and I'll post the details when I have got some decent pics ( ie when it stops raining and the sun comes out!)
Why am I selling?? because I need to fund my trip to the RAH to see Joe on May 4th. I managed to get a half decent ticket sorted but the transport from where I live is expensive, and I haven't been working since October last year due to a back injury... and it's the wrong time to be looking for a job is in the worst recesssion in 70 years... blah blah blah... anyway..not a sob story ... just explaining that I really need to sell it for a decent price!
Anyone interested...drop me a line
Some brief specs..
Mahogany with Maple cap (so it sounds like a Les Paul..and is about the same weight)
(now aged) White finish with Abalone Body binding and famous 'Wing' Inlays on ebony fingerboard
NECK THROUGH BODY ...5 piece laminated maple and mahagany...sustains for years if you have the time!
Coil Taps on push pull volume pots so it can go from LP to Telecaster mode...
Tuners have been replaced with Grovers
Overall condition 9/10 its a player...not to be hung on the wall (unlike Bjorn from Abbas one in the Abba museum in Stockholm!)
These were also played by Nancy Wilson of Heart and Mick Moody of Whitesnake in the 80s
Tone is thick and warm and fab.. build quality is up there with a PRS or Gibson
More to follow....
Steve
ps I really REALLY regret having to sell this but I HAVE to be at this gig...its going to be awesome!!
