Joe says they're having a great time on tour. 'Our buses are somewhat posh, as they would say in the UK. We have televisions and satellite TV and the internet and all the fun stuff that guys can use when on tour.'
He also thanked everyone for buying the album and supporting them.

Carl, that song Peace Pipe is fantastic, very Free/Bad Company...what a shame they split up.

Unfortunately Planet Rock still haven't got their 'Listen again' facility up and running.

I have recorded last week's show, the one where Joe played most of TBOJH. I haven't tried copying it to disc yet though hmm

I know....in fact, I think I remember hearing it on the radio and thinking "what a cool Bad Co. song!"  It definitely reminds me of Paul Rogers on vocals for sure.

I've long been a Boz Scaggs fan, thru the blues and was loyal to him even when he took a few side steps into a quasi-disco stage.  (Attention Mrs. Moody, guard your CD from your hubby. lol )

I discovered James Hunter as Susan Tedeschi's warm-up act.  I thought he was a great performer, sorta' transported me back in time, very good show.  Check out No Smoke Without Fire.

I saw Audley and that Mark (MarkI) of COL. They were FANTASTIC live, all of those tunes on the first album plus 3 or 4 SUPERB Hendrix covers... They rocked with Kelly on vox and although the followup was OK (with Robert Mason on vox) something was missing.....

That Peace Pipe solo is one of the most effective I have ever heard....

Oh dear Angela, I'm going to have to dispel your idea of me!! yikes My nickname has nothing whatsoever to do with mind altering drugs!!
It's a name my husband gave me many years ago when I tripped up over a raised (I swear it was) paving stone on a night out and fell flat on my face

Impeccable taste from the man, as usual. Very interesting that he selected  the Pete Frampton track. I thought Joe's last UK tour had more than a little of that Pete 'Frampton Comes Alive' performance flair.

Really enjoy Joe's show on Planet Rock every week (I'm even getting used to the "weekly shot of prog" now) and it's great to hear Joe talk about his influences alongside the music.

Just wondering if you guys are aware that Gary Moore has his own 2 hour slot on the station called "Blues Power" - Sundays at 7pm (UK time). It's also available on the PR website "Play Again" feature.
Gary plays a much less diverse set of music than Joe - sticking pretty much to the Blues - but it's a great show, especially for you "blueshounds" out there. He even has a guitar and amp in the studio and gives the occasional demo of a classic riff or two as played by different artists.

The stangest thing though is that he played Joe's "Tea for One" cover in the last two shows, without announcing it, or mentioning what/who it was afterwards. Everything else he played got the full commentary. Anyway, that was just an observation - I really did enjoy the music he played, and can recommend the show if you like your blues.

Yes, I have heard Joe play Gary Moore on his show and also I was listening to Blues Power a week last friday (I think) and Gary played Ball Peen Hammer. I waited to hear what he would say but not a word, not even that it was Joe.
Obviously not a one off! hmm
Come on Gary, say something! after all Joe is a fellow presenter and always gives full details of what he plays, including your songs.

A great show again by Joe tonight. He started with Come Together In The Morning by Free, which really is a superb starter.  Joe then announced he would play different versions of some familar songs. The first of these was EC's unplugged version of Layla, then Led Zep's Achilles Last Stand. Other stand out tracks included Four Day Creep by Humble Pie, a very funky version of Mannish Boy by Muddy from the 1960s, and Born On The Wrong Side of Time by Taste.  The last songs were Whitesnake's live versions of Burn and Stormbringer. Again though not too much from modern acts, except Queens Of The Stone Age.  I know it's churlish to complain when such great music was on offer, but it would be nice to hear a tune or two from Joe's peers. He know himself how hard it is to get played on the radio...
