Topic: street team newsletter

Thanks Stu for the new newsletter.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any details on the photo of the sold out show of Leon Russell and Joe?

Did Joe open for Leon or vice versa? Anyone know when/where?  What does the 12 mean before Leon's name?  Did Joe and Leon play any songs together?

Thanks.

Re: street team newsletter

My guess is Leon was booked to play play on the 12th or the tickets were $12.00. The most important thing on the sign though was SOLD OUT.

Re: street team newsletter

Hey jim-I figure the date was the 12th and well, I just find everything about the sign GREAT being that I'm a big Leon Russell fan from way back, even had one of those girly teenage/rock star crushes on Leon in the 70's when he had his long blonde hair. My mother always loved that 5 foot poster I glued onto my bedroom wall of Leon! Because I'm a little sentimental about him, I was a little taken back by his declining health when I saw him in March, although more power to him, he still sings and plays awesome.

So, I'm still looking for any details on the photo!!!  Thanks everyone and anyone!

Also, how EXCITING is Joe's touring schedule and some of the places the band's playing...I'm a little partial to Italy.  I just dug out an old e-mail from Marco, an Italian living in London for his job for a short time, who was totally blown away by Joe back in 2005 and wanted Joe to come to Italy. Marco had written a very passionate post comparing Joe to a huge list of blues artists he had seen, big lover of the blues with over a 1000 CD's...thought Joe was even better live than the recordings.  I hope his e-mail still works, he'll be thrilled!!!
