Re: Special Joe Event the day of the Milwaukee-Turner Hall Show......

I have not attended a clinic at Interstate before. How early do you think a person needs to show up to get a seat ? Think there is any chance of getting an autograph from JB before or after ? I don't know how Interstate runs their clinics.  I plan to go to the show that night at Turner Hall. I'm about 30 miles north of Milwaukee

Re: Special Joe Event the day of the Milwaukee-Turner Hall Show......

Those are both good questions Penguin. Cascio Interstate is a fairly good sized place. I have purchased two guitars from them and when we bought my son's there, they were having a drum clinic. They had rowed chairs set up, althought I'm realy not sure how many they can seat. The rest of the people were standing. I'm thinking about getting there at least by 1:00 PM.

As far as autographs, I'm not sure what Joe has planned, but I plan to bring my Taylor Acoustic for Joe to sign. Whether he'll have time for any of us will be up to Joe, I guess we can only hope. smile

Hey, come up and introduce yourself; I'll be the one wearing Joe's Street Team shirt.

Just got off the phone with Cascio's Director of Retail and they are planning on having 100 chairs set up for Joe's Clinic on March 8th. The rest will be standing room only. He also indicated that it might be a good idea to get there at least 30 minutes early.

See you all there! cool

Re: Special Joe Event the day of the Milwaukee-Turner Hall Show......

I also spoke to a sales person at Cascio today. He thinks there will be a lot of interest in the clinic.  He thought the plan is for about an hour or so for the clinic followed by an opportunity to get an autograph. The store is holding their last 20+ copies of the Guitar Player issue with JB on the cover and will offer them for sale at the store on March 8 for people that would like to buy one and get it signed. So I'm also hoping for the meet and greet.

My awesome wife ran into Milwaukee today to get a copy of Guitar Player off the Barnes & Noble news stand and pick up JB's latest CD for me !

I wouldn't have known about the Cascio clinic except for this forum. Thanks Bluesman !

Hmmm... Wonder if I should trade my Gary Moore Les Paul for a JB Les Paul... hey, I can dream !

Re: Special Joe Event the day of the Milwaukee-Turner Hall Show......

You're very welcome Penguin! Actually, I stopped out at Cascio Interstate last night to drop off some posters for Joe's show at Turner Hall. I was floored to see the great posters they have of Joe already hanging up concerning the clinic. Whomever made them did an absoltuely fabulous job and there are several of them around the store. Every time I visit there, I'm surprised at the size of that store. Elliott Hill, their Retail Sales Director, gave me a little tour. He showed me where the clinic will be held and they're planning on moving out a bunch of stock for chairs. They also have a stage in the store as they have clinics often.

As Elliott said, "This will be a great event!" And I definitely agree with him!

See you there,

Thanks for the info Roy. Without your post, I wouldn't have known about this.  I think I will make a day out of it and come down early for the clinic.  Maybe I should audio tape it?

Re: Special Joe Event the day of the Milwaukee-Turner Hall Show......

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to bring it along Steve. I plan to bring my still and video cameras too. Elliott and I are working on one other little surprise, but it's up in the air right now, so I can't say. I'll let you know if it comes to fruition.

Re: Special Joe Event the day of the Milwaukee-Turner Hall Show......

I think I will bring my gear and just see what I can capture.  The Q & A doesn't really lend itself to repeat listening at these clinics, but I am certain that he'll play a bunch of songs to demo the gear being promoted.

Just to confirm, this does *not* appear to be a ticketed event?  All the clinics up by me are ticketed and they are never free. sad

Re: Special Joe Event the day of the Milwaukee-Turner Hall Show......

Hey Steve,

The link above definitely shows "Free" Performance/Clinic so just in case, I wrote Elliott Hill their Director of Sales and verified. He said yes, there are no tickets and yes, it is positively Free! Hope to see you there! Should be a Joe-Fabulous time!! smile

A free clinic with no tickets. That's madness. I'll be there.
