Hello
I guess I'm the new guy on the block....Having signed up today.....but I've been a fan for a few years now...I've seen Joe three times now this year..last Thursday at Calvin Theater

No doubt....one GREAT player! The playlist was a great mix of old and new...and I purchased the new CD....it is great.

I did notice one thing though....Joe's voice seems to be "drownout" by the band at times....I thought it might be just me but then a guy in front of me turned and asked if I understood the words..I told him I knew the words but it was hard to hear them

Just a post to see if anyone else thoughht the same

Re: Calvin Theater 26-Feb-09

I too found the show wonderful. Although Johnny A..hmmm, maybe A stands for AH..because after the show I told him what a great show and he blew me off with just barley giving me a look continuing to walk by. Johnnys guitar being a hollow body was not a good choice in that muddy room either.
Speaking of muddy, ..with some experience in mixing and being onstage as a musician myself, and old theaters notouriously being hard to mix clearly, I found the vocals by far, too hidden behind the instrument and impossible to understand what was being sung..now this may not have been as noticeable for someone who knows the lyrics but for a newbe to Joe..not good    .Joey...talk to your mixing guys!!!

I was sitting halfway back to the right of the stage facing the band..and I found the same to be true directly facing the band behind the mixers which is all the way back in the ctr of the room...
