Plexi Glass?

It's so you can blast high wattage amps.. The shileds block the sound upwards instead of directly out towards the crowd making everyones ears bleed lol.  I find it also makes the sound more articulate and not as muddy when they are used in conjunction with isolator pads.

The baffle seriously cuts down on the blast factor.  I find it allows you to nudge the volume up one or two clicks to match the same volume as without the baffle.  Besides allowing the amp to breathe better, I find that it allows all of the frequencies to reach the ear at about the same time.  Without it you get zinged in the ear first with treble because high frequencies move the fastest.  With it you hear the bass and lower mids much better which gives a much warmer and more pleasant sound to listen to.  With the isolator pads it makes the low end truer as well.  You can make your own baffle very cheaply compared to buying one premade.  All you need is the plexiglass (you can find at almost any Lowes or Home Depot), a piano hinge, some screws, some finishing nuts for looks and VIOLA!  Tonal nirvanna.

Congrats on the JB Cat 5 and LP!!  One question, how loud do you have to push the Cat 5 to get you in Joe Bonamassa territory?  The Cat 5 website isn't very specific on that particular amp.  What kind of venues are you using it in and are you using an attenuator??

Thanks man, that sounds great!  I wouldn't mind hearing a demo of just you through the 1900/JB 50 rig.  So that clip was without any attenuation?  You get a lot of gain and if anything the drummer seems to be the loudest thing on stage...I have been considering a JB100 or similar non MV plexi inspired amp and have feared they are way too loud.
