Topic: Marshall silver jubilee,fender HRD ,VID

HI GUYS
            just a short demo of my jubilee paired with a fender hotrod deluxe and a les paul.
            I wasnt going to post this as the sound from my camera is crap, but anyway I have!
            it was recorded in my garage so the volumes low but the jubes sound ok at low
            volume but better when el34s are working hard.. excuse my attempts at some of

This is great sounding! Very artículated and clear.
I liked the playing and the tasteful vibrato.
What kind of wah do you use? Is it an inbuilt wah of the effektboard?
The neck pickup sounds very good with your rig.
With mine it tends to sound a bit dark.

                  the wha is a standard crybaby , the neck pickup is the burstbucker pro 1,2
                  which you should have on your JBLP i think. I tried a bareknuckle mule in this
                 guitar and it was very dark so put the  original back in. ( bareknuckle are hand made pickups in case you have not heard of them and they get good reviews)
yes I like the sound I get from these amps . the effect board is in bypass until I switch the jubilee to clean.The clean setting on a jubilee is ice picky so I use the effect board graphic EQ to tweak the sound this gives me a good clean sound which I need as we play very diverse songs in my hobby band . And yes GEKO i need to spend less on equipment and more on shoes LOL...

I have the fender and was running a TSL601 marshall - but have sold it and on the hunt for a silver jubilee - in my part of the world they are very rare, seem to be dime a dozen in the states, I can see me having to re-import a british amp back to britain!

Sounds badass man!  Anyone that owns a Jube is cool in my book.  Is your Jubilee cab stereo/4x12?  If so have you thought about ditching the combo + 2x12 cab for just a 2 head and 1 cab rig?  Just wondering, but it seems to be working for you because your tone is great!  Keep rocking.

           no the 2553 50w jube is a mini size head and sits on a custom size 2x12 which
           I like as it captures the look of a marshall 1/2 stack and still fits in your car!
           Jubilees are hard to get a great sound by themselves I dont care what anyone
          says they are hard amps to dial in  they seem to lack certain frequencys that tend
         to make it almost like someones put a blanket over the amp. thats why I need the
        fender HRD to fill in the missing frequencys. DO any jube owners out there AGREE
         but they have a lovely thick distortion and brilliant roar like a jcm800
         and have a unique sound of their own .you either love these amps or hate them
         just my opinion though !

That makes sense then, a brighter 6L6/Fender type OD tone would be a good compliment to a warmer Marshall sound.  I'm not very familiar with the Jubilee model but I have heard that they are one of the "warmer" voiced Marshalls, not sure if it's due to the SS clipping diodes.  Like you said, some love that sound and some just can't get into it.  How 'bout some clips with the Hot Drive and Boost and/or the TS-9?  Great rig man!
