Re: Got one band on your 2009 radar?

I'm pretty interested in seeing what Back Door Slam's gonna release this year. Of course, February is also very much on my radar smile

I've got my ears to the ground listening for other artists, too. Oz Noy is playing in town this week...I've heard a lot of great things about him, but I'm having a hard time "getting it" with his music. It's pretty interesting, but it's not all that compelling to me, so far.

On the subject of Back Door Slam, I hear they are rejoining back in the USA to work on their new album. Given the currency differential between the pound and the dollar, I think they'd have found it cheaper to record in the UK. Looks like we've in the UK have lost them for good.

Totally agree with Michael

Simon McBride hasn't been out of my changer since I pulled himn off iTunes. Kind of grows on you like Joe. Highly recommended and I wish he would come to the States for a tour.

Of course, I am also looking forward to seeing Joe and Boys whenever possible.

Nothin' but the Blues

I'd like to see stoney curtis, lance lopez, and craig erickson.  all of them play only local shows and europe, so being from the midwest erickson is going to be the only one i get to see.  i'd also like to see mule again.  and if neil young just felt like touring with crazy horse it would be really cool
