Found this site thru my good friend Kelly Richeys site. Lots of good videos from some lesser known players. Check it out, GOOD STUFF.    I did notice one name missing though.

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Re: Guitar player tv

The Johnny A one was fantastic. And I thought all he played was Jazz smile

Re: Guitar player tv

Hi David,
Catch Johnny A live if the opportunity arises, he is an amazing and versatile guitarist who plays everything!  We saw him for the third time about a week ago-he did Smoke On the Water and Whole Lotta' Love in addition to always covering at least one or two Hendrix numbers along with his original music. He usually plays small venues which allow you to get really close. You probably know, Gibson has a signature Johnny A guitar, he usually has about 3 with him, stunning guitars and to sound totally female...pretty colors! Nice article about him in November's Guitar Player. If you don't have it, e-mail me your address.

Re: Guitar player tv

Thanks, Angela. Unfortunately, Johnny plays nowhere near me. I'll have to see what I can do about that.

Re: Guitar player tv

David,
Your best bet...Johnny A has a live DVD coming out shortly recorded over 4 shows at the Iron Horse in Mass. this past July.

Angela, I think it is being released as a live album not DVD There is an article in Guitar Player the November issue about it. The photo used in the article was taken here in OKC. Johnny's instructional DVD is available now which has about 6 or 7 songs live in studio with his band. Then each song is broken down with an interview segment. Pretty cool instructional DVD. Another one that is good for fans not just players.

Re: Guitar player tv

Hey jim.
Thanks for the correction. Assumption on my part when I saw Live and when Johnny talked about it, I went totally visual... and even read the article!! It would have been cool, especially if he doesn't tour everywhere. Anthony has the intructional DVD...cool about the cover shot...I mentioned your name to Johnny before. Do you have a title, like Oklahoma City Blues Society something or other..I was going to use your quote about seeing Page for the 1st time...fast forward to seeing Joe...Let me know.

Besides the Boston area, Johnny made a comment about Philly catching onto what he does.  He played the same room at World Cafe that Joe sold out last couple of times. It was a Friday night, maybe more than half full...Johnny's act was the early show.
