Topic: Something new from PRS...

I stumbled upon this today. Its the brand new PRS Starla. I cant find anything about it online, so i gathered it has been posted only a few days, even hours ago! Theres nothing online, except the info on PRS' website. The weird thing about it is that its a singlecut version of the mira, but it has aspects of some gibsons!, it has the weirdest pickguard, and looks like a gretsch with its Bigsby trem!

Have a look...

I like it too.  Very cool vibe but might be a one trick pony.  Just like Gretschs..they sound absolutly amazing at the one thing they do.
I love my '92 PRS CE24.  It's the main guitar onstage.  I bought a PRS McCarty in 2001 because I wanted  Les Paul again....should have bought a Les Paul.  I ended up selling it cause it didn't have that "magic".  I didn't like the new heel of the post '98 PRS's and it wasn't as tight as a LP.  But PRS makes great great guitars.

Re: Something new from PRS...

sorry but I think it's not good looking. The Bigsby looks like a snow plow bolted onto a Corvette.

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

I was at the PRS factory on saturday and played it and talked with Paul about it.  Fabulous guitar with an amazing Bigsby that works.  Kind of an SG vibe, but really it's own thing.  Much more versatile than one would think.  I love Paul's guitars and he is a great gift to guitar players and music in general.  He really cares and "gets it". one of us, not corporate, even though he runs a huge company.

If heartaches were nickels, I'd have 35 cents!

Awesome, always wanted to go there and meet him. Love his guitars too, probably some of the most expensice guitars, but to me,  theyre all worth it, i dont have many guitars, but one is a PRS SE custom, and even the more affodable range is amazing, they play, look and sound fantastic.
