Topic: Joe's Two Rock

Joe's sound is great and it has always been. From the Budda/Marshall combo to today's setup with bunch of boutiques (and Marshall)...sweet sound.

I was wondering if anyone knows how he uses the Two Rock?? Is it set clean, semi-clean or dirty? Used mostly for rhythm or lead work? Also, is it paired with any of the three other heads used on stage???

Cheers,
Christian

The Two Rock is set to dirty, I believe... there's a good video of it up on youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2yHFbT63ug

Hope that helps.

The Two Rock Gear is made up the road from me in Rohnert Park near Santa Rosa, Ca. Another blues artist favorite of mine Volker Strifler recently switched over to a Two Rock rig and I believe an endorsement deal with it. Some of the Two Rock gang were at Monterey to see Volker and Joe put their gear through it's paces.

Dang! You got to that clip before I did! It's my default video anytime someone asks about amps, it's that informative. Some great playing as well...

Don't forget John Mayer - he's played a sig Two Rock for a while now... pretty sweet tone out of it too smile

Re: Joe's Two Rock

Mayer uses TR's as well as at least a Dumble SSS.

TR are such great amps. I have the CRS and I am completely in love with the tones. Clean, semi-clean, gain...does it all so well. The kind of amp which makes pedals redundant.

Thanks for the link to the videoclip, was VERY helpful, not just for the TR settings, but a general overview of JB's amps. And some tasteful playing too.
