Topic: Your favorite "jamming" guitar

When your just in the mood for jamming on the guitar or creating tasty new licks... what's the guitar of choice??

P.S.- This doesn't exclude bass players wink

Re: Your favorite "jamming" guitar

Whatever guitar is properly set up and has fresh strings on it... a constant problem for me.  I'd say my '58 RI Les Paul is that guitar day in, day out.  It's just intonated perfectly and with a fresh set of strings she sings like a bird.  My strat is a moody girl, she'll rip one day and fight with me the next.  I find that strats are very finicky at times but when they have it going they are probably the king of jamming guitars.

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

Hi,

I love the riff of don't make your move to fast. Or takin the hit.
These fluent lead lines are a very good lesson to practise (not that i'm able to play proper yet big_smile). Also I like the one of these days theme. This is the good thing on Joes songs.
He played so much various stuff. For every mood the right riff, hehe!!

I'll chime in with my Gibson SG Standard loaded up with bareknuckles.

The guitar I always reach for so I can noodle about while watching TV/eatingbreakfast/reading paper/talking to wife is a CIJ Tele ....fitted with Bareknuckles, like Beerdog80's

Ha! I read to fast and understood "what" I like to play...:/

To make it right now, my faves are my Thorndal Strat or the Gibson 57 Goldtop LP
with Staufer '57 PAFs. Latter is a dream to play.
But in 2-3 weeks it'll probably a Gigliotti GT. I was informed by Pat that
it gets shipped upcoming week.

Re: Your favorite "jamming" guitar

Hmm
I guess when its just a jamming session, it doesnt REALLY matter, but a one off jam is fun with a strat.
But to me, i'll always love my PRS.
