...is definately the gold Strat. It has much more character than the Gigliotti (did I spell that right?).
That's why I have replicated it http://couldntstandtheweather.blogspot.com/

"did I spell that right?"

Is the Chandler Lectraslide still in Joe's arsenal?

I didn't read all the posts & I'm new here, but last night Joe had the black one without binding in his rack but played a newer model clear red one with binding.  I work at Chandler guitars and Paul just finished Joes new Black Lectraslide on friday.  I got to play it a bit and it was very nice.  I think they were going to try to hook-up with the delivery of te new LS sometime this (long) weekend; Joe was doing a show in town.

I think personally that Joe has Finally Found His Signature Sound With The New Gold Gibson Les Paul , It is So Clear and Crisp with a Powerful Sound With Raw Emotion , This Guitar I Feel is Taking him into Major League Legend Status with his Playing Unbelievably Improving All The While , As people all over the world are recognising this Genius on Stage Performing like the Greats such as Hendrix Clapton , Beck , Page , SRV , BB , And when you see Him Live With Pure Talent on Songs Like "Mountain Time" , "Blues Deluxe" , And The Awesome Energy of "Just Got Paid" They Easily Stand Alongside "All along the Watchtower" , ""Crossroads" , "Cause we ended as lovers" , "Stairway to Heaven" , "Texas Flood"  and
"The Thrill is Gone"

Yep The Gold Gibson Les Paul will be with Joe For a Long Time .... Amen for that Sound

Wow, this thread is OLD. Forgot about this one. I think this was the first one created in this forum if I'm not mistaken.

For me it will always be Joe playing "Mountain Time" on his Gigliotti GT Custom. The sounds of fine art at work in both the Guitar, the Song and the Master playing it. It simply doesn't get any better than that.

I think the new Gibson sounds great.....The old gold sparkle Strat has a special place in my heart.....The Gigliotti without a doubt sounds wonderful on everything he plays with it......especially "Mountain Time".....Still love that raw & raunchy sound of the Chandler Lectraslide too......"The River"..."Burning Hell" ....Joe uses different guitars to get the sound he's looking for in a particular song.....They all sound great to me...Can't really choose one over the other as long as it's in Joe's hands.......Pete

Why when I think of Pete do I also think of a Chandler........Hmmm........It'll come to me.
