Topic: My Gigliotti GT

Hi,

today I got an email from Patrick. He sent me the first pics of the finished body.
Of course I don't want to withhold it from you so have a look.
There is a story about the missing f-hole. I sent Patrick a picture of a GT (without F-hole)
just to demonstrate the color I wanted. For some reason he adapted the missing f-hole thing.
But this is ok to me. I changed my mind 2-3 times about the color and neckshape.
Maybe I caused some confusion with it. lol
I look much forward to get it soon...:D

Re: My Gigliotti GT

Oh very cool, but you sent him a picture of a Gold Top? That doesn't really make too much sense...

How much is it running you for such a quality job?

If you can't disclose on the forum feel free to email me...

Re: My Gigliotti GT

You could pick up that used one on GT and go for the matching set!

If heartaches were nickels, I'd have 35 cents!

Re: My Gigliotti GT

No not a goldtop. tongue GT is the name of the Gigliotti model. GT= Tele style and GS = Strat style.
There are different kinds of this tobacco burst. Some blend from yellowish into black and some blend into trans red.
I wanted this red one. So I sent him a pic to ensure he got the right idea of the color I want.

Ha, a matching set? Yes would be nice of course.
I think this used one had Barden humbuckers. I ordered Fralin Blues single coils on mine.
But I think I would try a GS instead of a second GT.

Re: My Gigliotti GT

Hi Roy,

yes I'm very excited since Patrick told me it gets setup by next week.
So it can't be lomg now. Of course I will upload some pics and maybe a video
after I know how to make them smaller sized. A simple 3 min. video with my cam
is already 60 MB big....maybe I should lower the solution or so.

If you really consider to buy a Gigliotti I would go for that used one.
Its an ok price. And - you would wonder what I sold to afford the GT.
Soo much stuff. I have now 3 good guitars left (from 7) and sold the
cheaper, unused ones.

take care

Re: My Gigliotti GT

Sadly ive never played a Gigliotti, but they look VERY nice, sound good too.

No dealer neat my area sells them, apparently the occasional second hand one comes along, but are sold quickly. I remember at Mr kyps, when joe brought that guitar out, i was stunned at the tone and appearance, i needed to find out what it was, and now i know, im looking into prices, so cheers.
