These guitars are a new company. They already have their own original headstock design. The new headstock looks like the silhouette of two spread legs instead of the "open-book" headstock I have.
I played some prototypes and wanted my own specs, so I got what I wanted and my initials and birthdate for a serial #. In return, I made some youtube videos for his website.
The pickups are just stock no name I think. So I'll prolly upgrade thoughs.
Plastic nut, I'll switch that out too.
Wilkinson tuners.
The four knobs are:
6- way pickup selector, very nice
Overdrive knob with 5 levels of overdrive (has micro-level adjustment in the cavity)
volume
tone
When I got it I thought I was going to return it because the neck was so big. But the action was high enough to play slide and that was the actual problem. It's a lot more comfy with a low action. The tenon on the neck goes past the rhythm pickup...solid. The intonation is a little off, but I'll address that when I change the nut.
It sounds great. There is a LOT of sparkle with certain pickup combinations. There are some real sweet spots on the guitar. I always wanted an SG, especially the SG Supreme with the emerald burst. I think for the $ I got really close to it. It'll go toe to toe with lower priced Gibsons and top-line Jay Tursers and Epi's...if the pickups were better and was ready to play out of the box, I could start to rival it with Gibson, but it's just not there yet.
The guitars are priced right around the same as Epiphone, and are made in Germany. They have single cut LP style guitars too, and just came out with their own hot pickups (uncovered). You gotta check out their new headstock. It's hilarious.
