Re: Update On Sean Costello's Death And Last Interview

Thanks Keith, especially for finding and posting the link to Sean's last interview. I just recently purchased Sean's latest CD "We Can Get Together" and I love it. So raw and emotional - just an outstanding piece of work from a great talent that left us way too soon.

Re: Update On Sean Costello's Death And Last Interview

Thank you again Keith, for delivering the news to us - whether bad or good.  This particular news is so terrible and doesn't come as a surprise.  What a shame.  What a loss.  Another tragic ending to another gifted soul.  I can't bring myself to listen to the interview - or the music - YET.  Just too sad.  But I'm glad that it's here and will come back when I'm ready.

Thanks for the news Keith.
I agree with you Lee, that We Can Get Together is an excellent album of songs and a return to blues rock after the more soul sounding Sean Costello album. When I hear it I enjoy the songs, but I am saddened that such a talented musician and equally important, gifted songwriter was taken from us too early.

Re: Update On Sean Costello's Death And Last Interview

This is really sad news and I'm sure quite painful for his loved ones.  I've known of 2 people in my life that were bi-polar so this is just what I've observed.  The hardest thing to accept seems to be that they need to take a pill daily to be "normal".  When they feel good, they think they don't need it anymore and sometimes stop taking their meds, not fully accepting that it is the drug/medicine that's making them feel well.  And one of the hardest things for some to accept is that since the condition is a chemical imbalance in their brain and the drug, like librium balances things, they cannot drink alcohol and have to be extremely careful when taking other meds, prescribed or not, because they are all chemicals which disrupt the balance.

Such a young and talented guy, its extra sad because it was an accident.

This guy was amazing! I can't believe I've never heard of him until the news of his death (from this forum). The music (from the end of this link, from his last album) is like a lesson in blues singing, guitar work and the song writing.

I'm going to have to get this album, too bad I won't be able to look forward to seeing him someday... what a shame.
