Topic: RIP Spanky Alford
I just read that Chalmers "Spanky" Alford died in March. Spanky was a brilliant, soulful and funky guitarist, mainly known for his rhythmic playing. He has toured and recorded with Al Green, John Mayer, Joss Stone, D'Angelo, The RH Factor and many more. I am posting a video of Spanky playing with Roy Hargrove's RH Factor (guitar solo at 4:43) and a mp3 of him playing Hendrix's Electric Ladyland.
