J Dawg, With a 90 minute blues jam at a special event I would expect and not care. I'm sure a lot of performers shared the stage that night. What I'm talking about is Steve introducing him as the newest member of the band.
Turning the vocals of the blues set entirely over to Sonny. Again not that Sonny can't sing it is he ain't Steve and its not like Steve can't sing. Last year the set was abreviated a bit but Steve ripped on the guitar durinig the blues set and sang. Each year it is a little different. That is why I go year after year is to see what Steve is doing in the Blues set. This year I was dissapointed with his decision to have Sonny sing it.

Just like Joe, shakin' things up and moving in different directions. I listened to some shows from the late 70's on Wolfgang's Vault after the 3 night run at the Fillmore. I didn't even listen to them in their entirety since it sounded like they were just going through the motions compared to his current sound. It's obvious Steve is taking much better care of himself these days and the focus is strictly on the music now, you must admit he didn't look like a 64 year old geezer on stage. I can't wait to see him in Aug. to see how much of those Fillmore nights carried over to the current tour, then again he'll be back in the Bay Area and might trot out some of his guests again.
