Topic: Derek Rose or Michael Beasley??

WOW! Only a 1.7% chance of the bouncing balls giving the Chicago Bulls the top draft pick, but that's exactly what happens.
So who do you pick at #1? I'm hoping they take Rose. I think they're both gonna be stars, but Rose has the potential to make you really regret not taking him.

I think the Bulls need Rose more than they need Beasley.  Hinrich has not shown he can be the PG everyone thought he would be - but will make an excellent backup.

I'm guessing if they are intending on picking Rose, that Hinrich will be gone. There would be a real logjam at guard (Rose, Hinrich, Gordon, Hughes, Sefalosha, and Duhon...although I think Duhon's contract just expired).
I think Paxson would package Hinrich and one of their forwards to try to add some more scoring down low.

Roy,
I realized some time ago that they are entertainers. Nobody gripes when Tom Hanks or Julia Roberts commands 10 or 20 million dollars to star in a movie, but everybody seems to gripe about "overpaid, crybaby athletes (myself included). I lost all respect for Lance Briggs when he was insulted and threatened to hold out when the Bears "franchised" him. Now we have Brian Urlacher, who wanted the security of a long term (9years) contract...but ooops, guess what, salaries have risen since then, so now he wants to renegotiate. That p*sses me off...I hope they don't give him a penny more and if he wants to retire, good riddance you greedy #%*%^@!

The fans only answer is to STOP BUYING tickets and merchandise. As long as fans keep going to games, buying shirts/jerseys and watching on TV, the ticket prices will continue to soar and salaries will do the same. I don't blame the owners or the players....I blame us (the fans).
