Topic: Time to move

As Jane can attest, Baltimore is a tough market for the Blues. The new Rolling Stone entitled "The Best of Rock 2008" has named Baltimore as the "best scene"...calls it a hotbed for rap and art rock..oh goody....NOT...At least I was comforted by not knowing any of the venues. Must be because I'm old...oh well....   Cathy

I'm feeling you Sis.  The horror stories of mismanagement I could tell. Despair not, fair witch for I have plans...slowly but surely I will expand my influence, my salsa, my music and my love up the eastern seaboard.

I LOVE THAT Rev. Paul!!!

and, Jane, I too am curious to know WHO you would drag yourself out to see on Stage........... did you mean Big Jeff?

and Cathy, well ......... normally I don't spend a lot of time trying to bring people in to our already overpopulated state ......... but, in your case, I'll be glad to make an exception.  I also don't think it would take much arm twisting either, as I have noticed you giving those of us in 'Cali' the nod, several times in regard to the entrees available on our musical menu.

What IS art rock?  I'm an artist.......I love rocks and have a lot of them........can I play?

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Re: Time to move

No, no, no, the place for excellent small venues, some of them even legendary in the music world is, of course, Amsterdam. cool  big_smile

Don't mention the climate though.

And Jeff, I would too!

Cathy,
Chicago would welcome you with open arms. LOTS of blues here and a pretty awesome city on top of that!
