Topic: Bassist looking for guitar opinions....

I know, that's a loaded leader. But, seriously, I'm looking at buying a low budget, "Tele" sounding and feeling 6 string. I want something that is of decent quality, but won't break the bank.

Suggestions?

Look into the G&L's - quality instruments all around.  Excellent deal and great feel/sound.

G&L makes one in Korea thats not alot of money and has american electronics. I like thier pickups better than the fender..

G&L Tributes are nice, i have a comanche(a regular g&l), but the tributes are better than the cheap fenders and epiphones.

Check out a Fender Baja Tele - good guitar, only around $600 you can do a ton with it...

Anybody know anything about Austin? I understand they are a company built by former Gibby guys.
