For you guys who don't have a high-end budget I'd like to suggest the Palomino (Crate) series of Class A amps.....good bang for the buck...they're becoming pretty popular here in Nashville.

I didnt realise that, though its worked fine that last half a year doing it... other then the impendance is there any reason i.e. chance of frying myself?? smile I did actually think of that but I thought I'd "Ass-u-me" (as my boss says) that the Audigy box would make the difference :x

Those are pretty decent amps. I'm not a crate fan at all but jammed on a V50 Combo and it  sounded great.  If I was looking into another combo, I would consider this highly.

or is it better to look for a Fender Dual Showman Reverb
or another Fender amp

Marshall, Marshall, Marshall.  As far as overdrive goes, it begins and ends with a set of EL34s slamming.  Check out the new Vintage Moderns for an older sound or you can pick up a DSL/TSL dirt cheap now that they are discontinued.  Also, don't neglect an JCM800 or JCM900 if you see one cheap. Solid amps. When I think of the all time greats in tone, 95% have used Marshall as their primary tones (Joe Bonamassa:), Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson, SRV at times, Warren Haynes, etc.)

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.
