Topic: Greetings from the Dam

Hi, my name's Noah, and I'm a 16-year-old guitarist from Amsterdam. I was turned on to Joe by my uncle George (Amsterhammer) when we went to a show of his last year in the Paradiso. Since then, I have been listening to Joe pretty much non-stop, and not too long ago, George and I went to two shows of his in the Netherlands. I was blown away when I got to speak to the good sir after the second show. We got Rick to sneak us in backstae and got into the dressing-room. I would have been happy just to have stood there looking at him with utter wonder in my amazed face. So you can probably imagine my over-the-moon type of joy when he started talking to me. After about half an hour in the dressing-room I walked away with a signed plectrum and a feeling like never before.

Yeah, that was about all I have to say. Just thought I'd let people know about my presence on this site. Joe rules!

Hi Noah. It's obvious from the pic that you were having a grand time! Your uncle and Joe are both fine men. I didn't know you played guitar but that makes me glad. Welcome to the forum and don't worry, there's more than just "old" people here!    Cathy

Hi Noah. A very warm welcome to the forum. It's so great that many new fans are so young and are finding inspiration from Joe's music. Enjoy yourself.

Oh, Noah!  The warmest of welcomes to you!

I swear - it is a never ending awefest for me here.  Yet another forum member to be bowled over by.  What a thoughtful, articulate, enthusiastic young man you are.  Even more than the photo, your post has painted a very clear picture for me of your fabulous adventure with Joe and Company, and your dear Uncle George.  How proud he must be of you.  I certainly am.....and I don't even know you!!  smile

SO GLAD you have joined us.  You gladden my heart.  Keep playing.  Keep writing.  Keep your GREAT spirit.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

At last! big_smile

(I put a gun to his head this afternoon....)

Noah is indeed a diamond of a lad. I couldn't be more proud of him if he was my own son - and I really mean that.

Re: Greetings from the Dam

Welkom Noah,

Andre Wittebroek.
