Topic: Innes Sibun

Blues Review april/may issue has a review of "Tail Dragger". They use comparisions to Rory Gallagher for vocals and guitar. The review is a rave. "The disc's crowning achievement 'As the Years go Passing by' was recorded live in the studio, and Sibun lays into the tune like he's giving birth to it."  Has anyone heard this CD and what do you think? They call him a Blues/Rocker!  smiles       Cathy

Re: Innes Sibun

Great album, one of my favorites of 2007.. Innes is a fantastic guitarist, and I'd recommend all of his albums. Influenced a lot by Peter Green and the 3 Kings along with classic rock. Innes played for awhile as guitarist in Robert Plant's band, so you know the quality's there. His version of "As The Years Go Passing By" is stunning. His vocal delivery is what carries it over the top. But, as for the Rory comparisons, I'm not so sure. For that, I'd recommend Gwyn Ashton http://www.myspace.com/gwynashtonmusic
