Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

Well all my Bonafriends,

As promised my review of this memorable weekend. I now feel the same as after the Rockpalast show, very, very good!!!

Hardenberg Friday 14th.

I left Winterswijk early to be at the Podium in time. Promised Joe and band a while ago and crew some presents : Spanish wines, red, white and rosado and some CD's and DVD's from my own musiccollection. Of course ones you can't buy in shops. Live recordings from radio, Rockpalast etc. Arrived at 18.00 in Hardenberg and got into the venue. Joe and band were having  their rehearsal and I was allowed to watch.

I had a private show for  20 minutes and the owner Herman and I were the only ones in the hall!!! After the rehearsal Carmine took me to the dressingroom where I gave them my presents.

They all were so nice and interested. We talked about music, how I got into Joe, my first Joe show in Duiven November 2004 ,my life, my children and wife ,wines, blues in school etc.
I have a Joe file with pictures from Joe and shows from the last 3 years and showed it to him  , he liked it very much specially the Rockpalast pictures from the castle.  In the file you can see how he transfers from 200 people venues to what it is now.
I met Joe a few times before but he stills remembers he says, so he really take care of his fans.
We opened a bottle and had a drink together and EVA THEY LIKED IT  VERY VERY MUCH!!!
Dave and Jan lovely men from the crew said last night in DEN HAAG thew wouldn't mind bringing some more.........
I stayed for about one hour with them and once again;
THEY ALL WERE SO NICE  , I really appreciate it and will never forget.

Den Haag 15th.

The show in Den Haag was better, nicer venue and nicer audience, they got more into it. Den Haag was brilliant, one of the best I've seen so far. I was with Rudi his wife Anneke and Johan. Unfortunately we arrived a bit late, Crosby had already started so I couldn't get to the stage. Met tthe forummembers after the shoe and I was so pleased to see Amsterhammer, he was so damn happy. He thanked me for getting him on the guestlist by Joe with a big hug.
He told me he never met Joe to and it would be a dream come through , had DVD's for signing
And I just read he met him!!! I feel so happy for him!!!
We talked for about an hour I think and I had to leave because Anneke wanted to go, she had to drive back.

The reviews of the people here before say enough about the show, so I won't go into it more
Ramonster I have pictures from all and will send you some, so you can put them on Joe's forum as you promised Thanks in advance!
Next Bonatime:

Zeche in Bochum.

Greetz from an excited Andre Wittebroek.

Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

First of all, it was a great pleasure to meet up again with Annelies, Marianne, George, Andre, Ramon, Marijke and all their friends at The Hague on Saturday night.  Just before the gig we bumped into Rick outside a bar and had a nice chat.

I honestly thought that this concert was the best I'd ever seen (this was my eighth).  Joe and the boys were on fire, the sound was perfect and we were right at the front - how much better could it be?  From those first opening notes of Bridge you just knew it was going to be great.

I particularly enjoyed hearing Your Funeral, My Trial which got the crowd dancing but the highlight for me that night was an absolutely stonking version of Sloe Gin.  Joe played for about 2 hours but I'm sure he could have gone on all night.

George - we looked around for you after we'd got our coats.  Hope it's our turn next time!

Andre - thanks for the pictures you sent!  I'm glad to see in the photo that my eyes don't look too red as it had been a very l-o-n-g day!  Up at 03.30 that morning.

Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

So, back home Lynn. A great evening it was. We talked very short about RAH. Now I can't get it out of my mind. I Will be 50 in april 2009. Wouldn't be a trip to London the best gift ever? Who knows..
