Thank you sooo much George..I can't believe how good it sounded, even on my phone speaker..Sounded slower than on the CD, but man oh man is Joe's voice at it's peak..Beautiful!!! In my brain I'm there now....Ahhhhh        Cathy

Re: Sloe Gin from Holland

Wow.

I'll post my Heerhugowaard impressions here tomorrow, it's too late now and some sleep is necessary. Brief highlights -

Taped from right on the stage, no idea what it'll sound like.

Got some great shots of Joe.

Met Carmine and Bogie, passed on BJJ's message, which went down a treat. He says to tell you  he loves you bro' and he'll see you in April. (Actually, he laughed and swore in Spanish) big_smile

Flashed my 'Amsterhammer' sign at Joe as Marianne had told me that he'd mentioned me to her the other day and wondered how he'd know me.......he saw it, winked and kind of nodded his head, and threw his plectrum at me. Which I caught. Which is pretty amazing.

The show was fabulous. No surprises compared to recent shows, slightly different running order - full set list follows tomorrow.

I've had my mind blown. I am elated.

And Cathy, it was my very great pleasure! *winks*

Re: Sloe Gin from Holland

Heerhugowaard set list -

Bridge
Walk in my shadows
So many roads
Mountain Time (absolutely majestic!)
Another kind of love
Sloe Gin
Highwater
Your funeral
Don't burn down that bridge
Woke up dreaming
-------------------------------
Just got paid
One of these days*
Asking around for you
Ball Peen
ANDY/Starship

*Joe introduced this one by saying that to his amazement, Sloe Gin had made the Dutch pop charts, but that he really wasn't too sure about wanting to be a 'pop star'. big_smile He then said that maybe this should be his 'new pop sound' - before launching into an incredibly heavy, raunchy, low down and dirty version of One of these days that wiped everybody out. cool

Re: Sloe Gin from Holland

Thanks George!! From what I heard they sure were rockin!  Now on to Saturday!! Lucky you!  Cathy

Re: Sloe Gin from Holland

Hi George, sounds like you're having a fantastic time. Joe shouldn't be perturbed about making it into the 'pop' charts. As has been said before pop is just short for popular and considering that we don't have a 'blues' chart it is even more of an achievment don't you think?

Enjoy every moment

Tripsy:)

Re: Sloe Gin from Holland

Why hello Tripsy, how nice of you to drop in! I thought that Cathy and I had our own private little thread here.

I've just listened to a bit of what I recorded on headphones and it sounds ok to me, so I'll try recording again tonight. All being well, I'll put the end result somewhere where it can be accessed.

Only another seven hours or so till show time!! cool

RIP Iron Man
