I have a audigy 2 plat pro zs sound card and the external box (I use for recording) it came with some software Creative media player that lets u slow everything down with out changing pitch I used to use it to practise a solo slow etc not sure if it works with out the sound card but its about 40mb download from creative it will probably work the same id try that before forking out hard earned £££
Any1 else use anything computer related or not thats good for practising or even worth trying out?
For recording I can recommend the Audigy 2 plat pro with external box its 24bit recording using that coupled with Cakewalk Sonar Pro I think is a pretty good recording set up.
I usually disconnect the speaker from my amp line the amp head to the external box on the soundcard, basically my normal live set up but with out the amp speaker. Its good for nice quiet recording But still getting that tube sound.
Any1 have any tips etc seems like a good place to share tips and tricks / what not
Strats sometimes hum when recording infront of the PC I spotted a way round this on the net, basically a crocodile clip with some wire clip the croc to the bridge and wrap the wire round ur little finger has the same effect as holding the strings to ground the hum :x
