Hey Joe, will you be at the Allman Brothers show on Friday, May 23rd? If so, my husband and I are coming to New York that weekend to go to the show. Would you want to meet before the show for a drink? Let me know. Would like to meet you. We are soooo psyched to see the Allman Brothers with Derek and Warren!! Oh yeah, can't wait. Looking forward to being back in the city again.... Take care.

Babara,
That's OK to meet joebeacon before the show, but don't go with him to his home to, "See his playroom in the basement". I was startled to see the shackles on the walls, the rack, the chains, the implements and what he calls the REAL Prison where he makes the guys scream mommy. Other than that, joe's a perfect gentleman and wonderfully pleasent.

I am sure we all spend a large percentage of our disposable income on what we really like.
If it wasnt music and shows it might be something else.I have a friend who spends a boatload of money on his boat and all the costs that go with boating. And its a short season here,5 months.
I have seen people drop some serious dough on their hobbies,so I dont think it is as unusual as you might think.

I agree. "Hobbies" can be expensive! If you really put a price on it, as some of you have (Joebeacon, you are freaking unbelievable!) you can see how it all adds up. But, really, could we do without it? I don't think so.
On second thought, I should have posted this thread as disposable income...everything ties in together...I went to spring training (baseball) for the San Francisco Giants 2 years ago, spent $2000 in one week....caught Buddy Guy in Tempe too, as well as some local musicians at various locations around the Phoenix area...nice place to visit when it's 75 degrees, lots of snowbirds with vacation homes there...and if you golf (I dont) forgetta bout it, golf courses up the wahzoo!!
Dave
I've never figured out what I spend on music... was a higher percentage in my first adolescence/youth, and is now climbing again in my --th youth (reverse adolescence??), but if I "cross the pond" next year, it's gonna multiply by several hundred percent!
