Re: Shepherds Bush Gig

Man, this would be the road trip of a lifetime. I've been bugging the hubby for a while now that my dream is to go to England. Maybe if I start now I can get it done by next May *fingers crossed*.

I'm just saying.

Hey Rhonda,
I knew you'd be coming along on this trip, too.  wink  I don't know, the stowaway part could be fun.....stewardesses (is that the plural?) serving Bonacherry jello shots........ and slumber party at Michael's......Roy grab your things, we're headed to Michael's now.
                                                                                     Patty
P.S.  I think the severe winter weather we keep having (yes, 6 to 7 more inches today, plus ice, plus 50 mile hr gusts)  has made me "loonier" than usual.  (No comment now Rhonda wink )

Did someone ask about a "Sugar Daddy"? Well ladies, I'm here to serve. Sister Cate calls me "Sugar Daddy" so I'm pre-qualified for the job. Stay at Michael's home? Now THAT, would be a hoot!! I'm not sure I'd ever go home. I'm going to start practicing my British accent and sayings. How's this? "Pip, Pip, Cherio." "Marry in haste, and repent at leisure." "The best advice is found on the pillow." "Better untaught than ill taught." "Soon learnt, soon forgotten." big_smile

You know, I'm getting the hang of this. How much Sloe Gin should Michael order for our stay? We better get Michael and Sharon's input on this one.

Michael my brother, what do you think?

LOL ... Jim, that's my wife's blog! You'll see the same "sold out" photo on mine (website link @ left). She is now hugely curious to know how you stumbled across it. smile

Re: Shepherds Bush Gig

If that works out next year.
Me and Annelies will defenitly try to be there as well.
Than we have a good reason to make us a little roadtrip to the Uk again.;)

Re: Shepherds Bush Gig

Hi Everyone

I've enjoyed reading your reviews and posts etc.  I'm glad that the Shepherd's Bush gig was mindblowing and that Joe did four encores! Wow! smile

I'm so excited about the possibility of Joe playing the RAH, on 4th May next year! He really deserves to play there.   I've pencilled the date into my diary.  Maybe, forum members will be given a chance to book before the box office opens to the general public, so we get a chance to sit virtually on stage with Joe. smile

I've just managed to get a very good seat for the George Benson gig, at the RAH, on 2nd July. George Benson plays a very cool jazz guitar you know. smile  I'm on the George Benson RAH mailing list, so every time he plays there I get a letter telling me when the special advance box office for his gig will open.  I made a point of ringing up on the right day this year and have managed to book a seat that is virtually on the stage. smile  The ticket cost £45, which is about half of a Neil Diamond ticket at O2!

I'm not sure that there's a room that would be an appropriate size, but we can see how things go.

Dave, the price of the dollar compared to the pound has a lot to do with it.  Right now it is about $1.96.  So if you get a pint of Ale for 3 pounds then it will cost you $6.  Hotels might average in the 100 pound range if you want something nice.  B&B's can save you a lot too.  If venture into the UK, you can rent a car or take the trains.  This will add considerably too.  You figure several thousand for one week if you want to have a good time, see the sights etc.   Just depends on your spending habits.  When we go, we stay with some friends to make that our home base and venture out from there.  Been to Scotland several times and France when going to England.  A lot to see and do for sure...

Music is good for the Soul...
