Topic: Is the Joe Sig Les Paul out yet ????

Truetone Music and California Vintage Guitar both had Gold Tops
with black gaurds and pickup rings, brand new, just out

but no mention of Joe

thought they would come with a gaurntee that you would burn
like the Master if you bought one .....

Ok... I havent recieved the prototype "JB" yet.  The guitar that I am playing in Europe is a normal 1957 Gibson Historic Gold top from the Gibson custom shop.  I put the black hardware on it and nickel covers to make it look like one of the first issue PAF goldtops that came out in early 1957.  This will be the basis (cosmetically) speaking for the "JB".  However the technical aspect of the the two guitars are vastly different.  My guitar will have a 1959 profile neck, a black back and sides and neck.  It will be very light and have some pickup and volume control tweeks that I like to do the Les Pauls in General.  I leave the goldtop in Europe for the tours over here.  Its just one less piece gear we have to shlep.  Anyway  I hear from Pat... that they are getting close on the prototype and the actual model will be out in June.. for the summer Namm show. I like my 57 goldtop alot.  The more beat it gets the better it feels.  That is why the "JB" will be aged as well right out of the factory.

Looking forward to getting one of these Joe. Thanks for the info and hope you get over the India flu soon. By the way, the Cambridge gig was awsome
