O K ... But i'll make this one short and sweet ( am very tired ) as going home on Motorway ( freeway ) was blocked for 2 hrs due to accident so didnt get home til 3 and up for work at 6
Crawley .. The Hawth , is a beautiful modern theatre 30 miles south of London , theatre mostly plays to travelling London theatre production shows , it's a 850 all seated venue with outstanding full deep acoustics ........
Crosby is supporting Joe and put on a cracking show , sounded so good and his guitar work and singing were crisp , he played a beautiful song
" THE WHEEL " which he said he had just wrote , He has great belief & confidence and judging by his set he which is arranged very well he is going to be a sucess on leaving europe, he was very warmly accepted by the crawley audience ... it was an exceptional set from crosby
Onto Joe Bogie Carmine Rick ( dont need to say too much about joe ) other that , He's Faster , Slicker , Off the Scale , and well just too much
Like to say though the other 3 members of this Extraordinary Band are Somehow Cocooning a sound around that is like So Tight as if they were Squeezing and Carrying Joe to Another Unknown Musical Level ... They are all Millisecond Rock/Blues 24ct Perfection , and all 4 are visually stunning to watch in Their Timing
Highlights Were another Stunning SLOE GIN ... This is a True Monster , it's morphing into it's own Greatness ( breathtaking ) and
"Dont burn down that bridge" was great to sing along to that and , well some people are saying that "woke up dreaming" has run it's course
I Say ... you should've been there last night ... joe played it on his Yamaha , and wow it sounded devastating , i thought as did the audience , A Standing ovation was the answer , great sound ........ One of these days , had heard that since Elgin , chicago ,, REAL TIGHT ......
And joe done that come away from the mic and sing voice only at edge of stage .... in a real quiet theater and must say that's the quietest note holding sequence in Asking around for you , the crowd went totally silent , and you could hear the faintest note hold , Great
At this show as me and my friend micky two was A Row Centre , Just sat Quite Quiet and Marvelled and took in the whole Musical/Visual thing sat down ( you're right jim m ) you listen more , but as this is the only (and first) seated venue on uk tour ... Gonna Rock From Now On you betcha
Here's The Full Set List :
BRIDGE TO BETTER DAYS
WALK IN MY SHADOWS
SO MANY ROADS

ANOTHER KIND OF LOVE
SLOE GIN
HIGHWATER EVERYWHERE (acoustic)

We are waiting Michael, we are waiting ... ! Hope for some beautiful videos, too .
Have fun! Eva
Thank you Michael!! You better start on vitamins and extra tea...I'm glad you had a sit-down..I love being wrapped up in the music... Rest, because the party's just getting started! Cathy
Nicky Horne on Planet Rock just gave a plug for Joe's tour and referred to a listeners brief e-mailed review. He said Joe was "mesmerising" and the gig was definitely in his top 5 all time list over a 30 year period. He made special mention of the drummer. After listening to the BBC concert on Monday (and several times since) I agree he's pretty special.
Nicky then played So Many Roads.
See you on Friday at Shepherds Bush, Michael.
Get some sleep, you'll need it!
Phil
Ahhhhhh............that was a beautiful review! Thank you for the details as tired as you were. Can't wait to read the rest of the reviews. Glad you made it home safely.
Cambridge tomorrow. Shame you won't be there my friend. I'll have a beer for you!
Geoff
Hey Michael, thank you for the great update. Sounds like another killer show and getting better all the time! Have fun and rock on...
I can confirm that Michael did have his video camera On Friday at Shepherds Bush and yes, he did pan round to the crowd. As he was leaning on the rail in front of the stage the view of the band was excellent. My phone camera stills from just behind Michael couldn't keep up with Joe's flashing fingers. I'll have to take a proper camera next time - shame I may not be able to get so close again if we move to larger venues.
Phil
Hey Michael
See you in Glasgow!
Peace and Jam
