Topic: Help converting e-mailed mp3 to i-tunes

OK..I'm cyberstupid, I admit...Bob (tarus52) sent me music in mp3 mode via e-mail..I opened it in i-tunes and the songs are there, but they don't import into my nano..Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong?   Thanks, Cathy

That's really odd. Usually my mp3's connect to my 30 gig.

And Jeff, imagine you were able to hook it up right, you could have a device in your car that would carry your entire collection of music and just put it in your pocket, and replace about 300 cd's. That's how awesome the iPod is. Because as a guy who has a lot of music, I like to keep them in their case, not getting banged up in my car, along with heat, ect. With this, it's so easy. It's great! Completely worth the 300 dollars, because this is going to last me a LONG time. Several years. I have nearly 4000 songs, and I've still got about half of its capacity.

Re: Help converting e-mailed mp3 to i-tunes

My Guitar playing son and my daughter have one each.  They are attached like an umbilical cord from the ear.  I grimace and my son says check this out and plugs me in.  WOW!  So i'm looking this AM at all my CDs and I get a little anal about shuffling all this you-know-what around and keeping it just so.  An here you are expanding my horizons.  I can imagine that.  Is there something I can plug it in to my car stereo?

Sorry Cathy I just Hijacked your thread, didn't I?  Somebody help her please.

If you have a tape player, it's just a standard cassette adapter. With cd players I'm not sure. I know the newer models of automobiles are starting to have an actual hookup for it. I have a cassette player in my car, so it's really easy.

That's OK Jeff..Glad to help bring you into the present..i-pods are wonderful!!! They also make something called an i-trip, it allows you to hear your music by telling you what channel to put your radio on then transmits wirelessly..Doesn't work as well in traffic, esp when people have sirius/or xm radio..but..the fun part is you can place all those "what am I going to do with these old things" fm radios all over the place and they will act as speakers..Then (I'm having fun spending your money..lol) you'll want a Bose docking station for the house...the sound is amazing...But, one step at a time..I only have a nano, which is the smallest. I'm content with it..just have my own CD's in there, and you can add or remove songs easily to update. There are other things you can do like create a playlist, burn CD's from there, etc..A music junkies must have. So. come on over to the light! Cathy

Cathy...if you find the file on your computer, and check its properties, I am willing to guess it is locked.

Unlock it first, so it can transfer

Re: Help converting e-mailed mp3 to i-tunes

i didn't translate the posts before...
but when i add an mp3 to my itunes playlist my programm asks me if he should convert it in to the aac format...
and then you can drop it without any problems to your ipod.

Just what I need...another woman spending my money.  big_smile  "The force is strong with this one."  Oh well as long as you're having fun.  Take my BP willya?

I'm going to have to do it soon enough.  Space has become an issue.

I looked at Ry's (college son) statement last month...well MsTia showed it to me...and that boy had spent over $100 at the Istore.  Tia was incredulous, he doesn't have a job, he doesn't eat, does he have a girlfriend? bla bla bla.  I said, "He has a guitar..."  She just shook her head.  I walked off grinning like an idiot.

He will have chances I never had.  I broke the chain.  So yeah, I'll join you and the Deezer in the light of the new millenium.  That was quite the load of crap, wasn't it?
