This is just great!  We're very happy for you and can't wait to see/hear it!  Very cool about the picks, too.

Hey Joe-

Nico smile is very excited and can't wait to get a new pick with your name on it.  Maybe one day you can receive a pick from Nico with his name on it! We all can't wait to see the new guitar!!

Re: The Gibson Les Paul "Joe Bonamassa"

Hi Joe, thanks for the update.  I know this has been in the works for some time and it is nice to see it come to fruitation.  Sounds a special guitar from a special player.  Really neat about the picks!

Re: The Gibson Les Paul "Joe Bonamassa"

Y'know, this guitar WOULD be the perfect gift for Nico's graduation this spring... if it happened to be his college graduation.  However, since he is only graduating from preschool he will have to be happy with the pick!  And he definitely will be thrilled with it, I am certain.  :-)

Re: The Gibson Les Paul "Joe Bonamassa"

Any idea how much they will cost?  I have a 2002 LP Custom Silverburst.  Love the guitar but man its heavy.  I had the hardest time find the right pick ups.  Ive tried 3 different pairs and wish I had kept the Duncan JB of Duncan Distortion in there.  Now I have the ZW EMGs.  Just too much effort and $$$ changing PUs

In Joe's post (the first one of this thread) he said he's "guess-timating" lower $3,000.00.  Hope this helps.     Patty

Re: The Gibson Les Paul "Joe Bonamassa"

I was looking around and, based on Joe's discription, the Les Paul will look something similar to this:

except with a few variations I suppose.  I have always admired gold tops.  When Joe first described it, Snowy White of (Thin Lizzy/Pink Floyd fame) came to mind and brought a smile to my face.

I can't wait.  I really hope it is in the lower $3,000's, that would make it even sweeter.

I got an EMG85 and EMG 81 back in 1995 when pretty much only Metallica and ZW (and David Gilmour) were using them. I put them in my Gibson Explorer and like them. They are just different. I'm not jumping out of my chair about them but it's a nice change from a standard humbucker and great for recording.

Joe is there a sales waiting list I could get on for the Gibson Les Paul Joe Bonamassa guitar? If there is one put me on it!!! Any idea as to when they will become available? I'd like it if I could get one early low serial number kinda deal. I've already started saving!

Thanks!!

I think it's cool that both Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Joe are getting Signatures at basically the same. Fender is going to come out with the KWS Signature Strat. Two of the best in the bidness.
